Your Love Life Secrets Are

Looking back on your life, you will only have one true love. You’re a little scarred from your past relationships, but who isn’t? It’s important to you that your lover is very attractive. You like to have someone to show off. In fights, you speak your mind and don’t hold back. You know you’re right, and you can get quite angry about it. A break-up usually comes as a shock to you. You always think things are going well.

Today I dedicate this post to the BEST HUBBY & FATHER in the whole wide world - my hubby is having a birthday today.

One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another witholds unduly but comes to poverty. Proverbs 11:24

I am so proud to be married to such a wonderful person. He is sweet, loving and very understanding. He gives of himself unselfishly and always thinks of the next person first before himself. He is very dedicated in everything he does.

He is crazy about his children. He doesn’t always have enough time with the them, but sure makes up for it whenever he can. Our caravan trips are one of those times when he spends every waking moment with them. God has blessed them with a daddy that cares about their everything - in our home daddy is the one that does the bedtime reading!!!

Daddy, today we take this opportunity to tell you once again that we love you, we appreciate you for all the love and joy you bring to our lives. Our prayer is that God should richly bless you and give to you the desire’s of your heart. May today be the beginning of many good things to come. May the love you give to us (and others) be returned to you by the Lord and may the love of God be your soul’s rich reward.

We Love You !!!!!

I promise this is the last time I post on this subject. Remember the previous post? This is just a follow up. The friend I spoke about is lonely, frustrated and needs to know what to do … this was her story to me.

He is a wonderful father. The children mean the world to him. He takes interest in their every move and loves them dearly. There is nothing wrong with him as a father. As the man in the home he is fabulous. He is always around. Never puts friends and other interest before his family or his “duties” at home. There is never reason to moan about something that needs fixing; things around the house are always in tip top shape because he is so dillegent. But its him as a husband, a friend, a partner … he neglects his duties as a husband. We play together as a family, we go on holiday as a famliy; we do a whole lot of fun things together as a family. But be asssured that on that one day that the children are not home the two of us don’t know what to do together; we can talk, we can share a joke and laugh together, but still something is missing. Can’t remember the last outing to the movies, or a dinner or just a weekend away. It feels like contentment with being parents has become the order of the day and forgot about being partners! He is a great guy and a wonderful father, but he has forgetten what its like to be a husband a partner a friend!!!!

I wish I knew what I could do to change things for me friend even though I know its not my place … I know she has faltered in the beginning but I also know that she is trying her utmost to be the best she can for her hubby. I also know the great person she is talking about, but she needs more from him, more then just being a father and the man around the house… ;-) She needs his love (UNCONDITIONALLY), she needs his attention, compassion, understanding, his TIME, his appreciation, his whole.

 IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I’d see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I’d hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say “I love you,”
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I’m sure you’ll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there’s always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say “I love you,”
And certainly there’s another chance
to say our “Anything I can do?”

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I’d like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you’re waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you’ll surely regret the day,

That you didn’t take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you’ll always hold them dear

Take time to say “I’m sorry,”
“Please forgive me,” “Thank you,” or “It’s okay.”
And if tomorrow never comes,
you’ll have no regrets about today
