By the time you read this post, I’ll be on my way to this resort to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday. Couldn’t say anything about it earlier. This whole trip is a suppose to be a surprise. Mom reads my blog and it would’ve spoilt the surprise for if she read all about our plans here on my blog!!! Hopefully it all goes according to plan. Even though I will take my mobile internet connection with me, I am not sure if I will get time to blog. So if you don’t hear from me, know that I am having fun. I will post all about it next week!!!

A good day it was!!! 10 August, 2006

What a lovely weekend … no, sorry, that’s my mistake. It was just one public holiday - Woman’s Day. Well, we all had alot of fun yesterday. CJ’s school had a carnival; they had a flea markets, cake sales, quad bike rides, jumping castles, pony rides and many more; not to forget all the food stalls. No weigh in for me this week, that’s for sure. The best of all was the box cart races. According to me this was the highlight of the day - I had so much fun watching all these 6-7 yr old kids pushing their mates as fast as their tiny legs could carry them. Daddy and some other daddies had to do pit lane duty … turn the cart around, take out the driver and put in another. At some occasions the daddies were a little to quick for these small people, but still proved to be a heap of fun. And best of all … THE SUN WAS SHINING!!!!! At on stage Daddy said that God was smiling down on the kids. Oh we had a lovely day. Thank you Lord for the lovely sunshine, we needed it and we thoroughly enjoyed it too!!!! Here are some pictures - please ignore the date on the photos, it was a glitch on our camera

An update - sad news; ones of Ziggy’s puppies died on Tuesday. Not sure why, but we have a slight suspicion that Ziggy probably sufficated the pup by accident. I did mention right in the beginning that she was a clumsy mommy - let’s all pray the other two survive.
Thanks for reading … till later

This was a lovely day … mommy started her Saterday with a little “me” time. I went for a facial. Thereafter I took Caleb and Chloe to the Animal Farm - a little farm with touch farm animals as well as exotic birds. Mommy did take some pictures but by now you all know how I feel about adding pictures to my blog - just a wee bit of a hassle. I am sure I will manage that sooner or later. After spending about two hours at the animal farm, Chloe went home to daddy and mommy took Caleb to a bithday party. Wonder where daddy was all morning - mommy kept the children occupied this morning cos daddy had some assignments to complete. After Caleb’s party mommy went to rent some DvD’s to keep the children and mommy out of daddy’s assignments … guess who watched all the DVDs … daddy of course!!! I think he was jealous of all the time mommy & Caleb & Chloe was spending with each other!!!Until later … I am having lunch with my youngest sister tommorrow … looking forward to it.

We went camping at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. We took along our nephew - this was a first especially for mommy. Sala, the cockatiel also went along even though we had to keep her (or him) inside the tent … apparently pets are not allowed at Mabalingwe. Mommy obviously didn’t do her homework when she made the booking. I always took it for granted when its states “no pets allowed” that they ment cats and dogs … Sala did not get to see much of the camp site but at least she (or he) could enjoy the wonderful sounds of nature

The Camp siteThe camp site on the first day looks rather quiet!

Having our “tradional” walk around the park - daddy & mommy walked and the rest of us went on bikes. I suppose we needed the excise.

Gee whiz … I am have been struggling to add pictures to this blog …. I took me 45 minutes to add 3 pictures. Too bad, cos I am tired now. Will try again tomorrow. In the meantime - enjoy.
