Ruined reputation 3 April, 2008

My life has been ruined! My reputation has been shattered and trampled on. My self-worth is now being questioned. I can’t believe that my image as a woman, a wife and a mom has been dragged through the mud!!! It is really sad to have come to this and all I tried to do was have some fun. I only wanted a few minutes of distraction away from reality. Now all I am left with is humiliation and embarrassment!!! How will I ever make up to it all??? Yesterday afternoon I wanted to take a break from my books. So I decided to bake cup cakes with the Drama Queen and guess what happened???
*** IT FLOPPED !!!!***
Instead of having all these beautiful fluffy golden brown cup cakes, we had all these hard cookies with the centres all sunken away!!! Cup cakes are not suppose to flop. They easy to make and even 5 year old’s like the Drama Queen can make them … wonder what when wrong with mine. I am so ashamed of myself!! How will I ever make it up to myself again? How will I ever have any confidence in my baking skills?
Could it have anything to do with my current state of mind?

it will be a GREAT memory to share with DQ when she gets older. You will be able to laugh at it some day!
When I have baking disasters I switch to the ready mixture and if I am lucky I wont forget them in the oven and burn that (lol).

LOL, you weren’t that serious, right? As long as you didn’t hurt anyone with those cupcakes, you and the Drama Queen will be fine.
Nice way to pop back into your blog. At least you got your few minutes escape from reality. I’m sure you make a lot of people smile. Not with the cupcakes, of course.
